Privacy Policy

Effective 6 October 2026
Homeck has no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Your home stays on your iPhone and in Apple Home. The one exception is an alert you set up: its words pass through our relay on the way to your phone, and the relay keeps nothing.

Who we are

Homeck publishes the Homeck app for iPhone. If you have a question about this policy, write to support@homeck.app.

Your home data

With your permission, Homeck uses Apple's HomeKit to read and change your homes, rooms, accessories, their values, scenes and automations. This happens on your iPhone. Apple stores and syncs your Home under Apple's own privacy policy. We never receive it.

What stays on your iPhone

Deleting the app removes all of this.

Camera

The camera is used only to read the setup code printed on an accessory's label. No picture is saved or sent anywhere.

Backups

When you export a backup, Homeck writes a file to the place you choose, such as Files, iCloud Drive or AirDrop. It holds your home's name, the names of rooms, accessories and services, your scenes, automations and tags. It never holds setup codes. Once saved, the file is yours, and so is where it goes.

Alerts

An alert sends you a banner when a value crosses a line you set. To make that work:

The relay runs on Google Cloud Run in the asia-east1 region. It stores nothing, and request logging for it is turned off. Google and Apple handle each request only to deliver it. Homeck also opens the link once when you send a test alert.

What we never do

Children

Homeck is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anyone's personal data.

Your rights

We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. To stop alerts, remove them in the app or delete the Shortcut in Apple Home. You can contact us about your rights under Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance at the address above.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
